Our IVF Philosophy

A different kind of IVF care.

Our approach is designed to give patients more clarity, more control, and more confidence throughout their IVF journey.

A “No-Discard” IVF Approach

We are a “no-discard” IVF program. Any embryos created are either used for fresh transfer or preserved for future frozen embryo transfer. No viable embryos are discarded.

Because of this commitment, we practice differently than most IVF clinics in the United States. Our guiding belief is simple: The only embryo that cannot result in a healthy baby is the one that is never transferred.

Thoughtful Fertilization Planning

We give couples the option to carefully limit how many eggs are fertilized during IVF. Because we do not discard embryos, it’s important to decide in advance how many embryos you are comfortable creating.

  • Some couples choose to fertilize only 1–2 eggs, others 8-10 or more
  • Unfertilized eggs can still be frozen for future use if desired

This approach gives patients more control over their IVF process and outcome. Patients who have frozen embryos remaining that they do not wish to use after their family is complete, can choose to keep them in storage at Rejoice until they have made the sometimes-difficult decision of what to do with them. Patients can choose to donate their leftover embryos to another couple for a chance at life, or they can choose to ship the embryos out of our lab to a different storage facility or clinic of their choice.

Minimizing Excess Embryos

We aim to avoid creating more embryos than necessary. Because of our high success rates, over 90% of our IVF cycles are performed using:

  • Natural (unstimulated) cycles, or
  • Mini Stim IVF with oral medications like Clomid or Letrozole

These approaches use lower, more affordable doses of fertility medications and typically result in retrieving 3–8 mature eggs, rather than large quantities. Our success rates prove that quality over quantity is a hugely important factor in the success of IVF. Of course, patients can still choose to do a full-stimulation cycle that is typical for other clinics, however our stats prove that is not needed, and sometimes not recommended for a successful outcome.

Supporting Embryo Adoption

We actively encourage and support embryo adoption as an option for families. Our work in this area has received national and international attention, including well-known cases such as:

  • The Gibson sisters, embryos frozen for over 20 years
  • The Ridgeway twins, embryos frozen for 30 years
  • Thaddeus Pierce, the current Guinness World Record Holder, frozen for nearly 31 years.

These stories have helped raise awareness and reshape how people think about embryo adoption—especially for families who once believed older embryos would never be adopted.
